Sitting in the back of our minds constantly, is an underlying urge to see the world and experience a sense of adventure that only travelling can provide. Some are aspiring digital nomads who are aiming to sustain a location independent lifestyle, others are holiday makers in search of an exotic paradise.
And Some are solo travellers in search of self growth, other travel in groups of friends, family, or other organised tours.
Whichever category you fall into, travel is a natural human behaviour that stems from our curiosity to venture into the unknown. It provides an ever changing insight into how we view the world, and feeds directly into our innate desire for discovery.
Although the goals of a traveller can change from person to person, as do the expenses and budgets, one thing remains constant: we all want to do it.
It often annoys people when they read on other peoples social media pages or job application that a person has put in their interests, the word “travel”. For some, it seems about as worthwhile to put “breathing” or “sleeping”, and other behaviours of the natural human condition.
Despite our natural instincts to explore, we often hit both mental and physical barriers when it comes to travel. This could be the result of laziness, finance, family, work, fear or a general inertia to routine changes.
Rest assured though, we are here to help. Here are some ways to get motivated to travel.
A great way to rekindle the love for travel is to go through your old albums and photo collections of previous travel experiences. This will no doubt spark you juices and get you wanting to rediscover your travel desires.
Nothing get your sense of envy flowing more than seeing photos of people you know who are indulging in the adventures of travel. This jealously can help ignite the fire in the belly and prompt you to get a start on planning your journey.
